Respite Care
UnitingCare Lithgow provides a respite program for primary carers of adults with a disability.
The program offers community based recreation and leisure activities with community integration and participation skills a priority.
The program aims to provide quality respite to carers.
 
To be eligible for the program clients should be:
• 18-65 years of age
• Have a disability
• Have a primary carer
 
The service runs in Lithgow two days a week, with the exception of public holidays.
A fee applies to this service and will be discussed with the client.
Additional expenses would include activity costs, for outings.
The program is run by qualified and experienced staff with the support of volunteers

Flexible Respite for Ageing Parent Carers
Limited packages to support the ageing carer with flexible respite options

Saturday & Vacation Care Centre Based Programs for school age children with a disability
• Saturday Program runs every Saturday of School terms 9.30-3.30pm
• Vacation Care Program runs Monday to Friday 10.00am-3.00pm during school holidays
Programs are designed to access the community integration into the community, recreational and leisure activities, teaching every day life skills

Centre Based/Community Access Frail Aged Group
Frail Aged Wednesday Group meet every Wednesday 1pm -3pm transport provided. Last Wednesday of the month 10.30-3.00pm

Overnight weekend respite

Weekend overnight packages for a person with a moderate to severe disability. Subject to funding packages

Emergency Overnight Respite House

Suitable accommodation for people with severe to profound disability. Fully trained staff. Reliant on brokerage funds for UnitingCare to provide overnight respite
