What Is Family Day Care?
UnitingCare Lithgow Family Day has been providing quality childcare for children aged 0-12 for over 15 years. Lithgow Family Day Care is a non-profit, community based service that is licensed by the Department of community Services and Accredited in accordance with the 2004 Quality practices guide through the National Childcare Accreditation council (NCAC).
UnitingCare Lithgow Family Day Care Provides:
• Experienced, Registered, professional Carers
• Affordable Childcare with access to Child Care Benefit
• Flexible hours
• Before and after school care, occasional, casual, vacation and emergency care
• Small groups, Carers are able to care for a maximum of 5 children under the age of five (5) and 2 school aged children.
• Individual attention and programming

UnitingCare Lithgow Family Day Care currently has ten (10) Carers providing care in Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland.
The Coordination Unit
The Coordination Unit provides the following services:
• Helps parents choose a suitable Carer
• Recruits, trains and monitors Carers
• Provides training and support to Carers
• Administers Child Care Benefit (CCB)
• Offers monthly playgroups for Carer’s and children to attend Monthly visits to Carers for support and to ensure that the 2004 Children’s services Regulations are being met and that the Carers are working on Quality Assurance
• Monthly Team Meetings for Carers.
